The fans' fervour prompted singer Ashin, 34, to tease them midway through a six-song encore: "Aren't you guys going home yet? Do you want to walk home?" The crowd roared back.

The group, which also includes drummer Guan You, 36; guitarists Stone and Monster, both 33; and bassist Masa, 32, rocked the house down.

Framed by a magnificent huge ball in the shape of a cell, they sang and pranced to pyrotechnics, lasers and video clips.

Indeed, the fans were by far the most enthusiastic I have witnessed. They leapt to their feet from the get-go, waving their light sticks fanatically, and jumping to tunes like Crazy World and Leaving Earth.

No wonder then that the band added another local date to their tour after last Saturday's concert sold out within two weeks.

For this reviewer, a proof of a good concert is when one goes home and starts feverishly playing back a band's songs on one's iTunes. Which was exactly what I did till three in the morning.
